I still find Tene to be on the right side, she was the one that was done dirty from Aria for no reason.
We were cheering for the bad side this time.
Is complex, would be nice if MC could go and resurrect her whole village and then her, but it would be a weird ending and I doubt the author would do it.

That was so fucking cowardly (most pathetic fight resolution ive seen in 25 years) its crazy also arias logic makes zero sense there is 100% right and wrong its what separates people from beasts massacring villages and children for the lolz is literally evil incarnate this group literally became cartoonishly mustache twirling evil

This shit is flipping the script and calling black white there is nothing just about Aria calling her just/justice is insane

aria has no concept of causation. what she committed was a daylight killing for sport, not a display of strength.
judging her victims for being weaker than her is just denial of reality.
they had no choice, and aria clearly had the options to not harm people who were not even in her way.
a whimsical use of power that served no purpose other than for a fleeting moment of humor.
having rose learning how to fight against defenseless people?
this is not justice, this is a beatdown of the remnants from a mass killing.
wrong by definition, yet aria fails to understand the consequences of her own actions.

You misunderstand evil then, you need to know right from wrong, to be evil. Aria doesn't know the difference, she's just a monster.

It does feel rather strange ending this manga like this.

This is basically: The Hero comes to defeat the Demon Lord after she indiscriminately massacres a town and then the Demon Lord tells her, "It was your fault they died because you're weak", before defeating her with the power of friendship and smiling with her comrades as the Hero dies helplessly in a pool of her own blood.

Yeah...one of the strangest "happy endings" to a manga I've read in awhile, especially since not one of them feels even slightly remorseful about the whole village murder-hobo thing.

I think Licht was supposed to have said something like, "The Aria back then was wrong, but I stand with the Aria I see now who's nothing like that" but MC went full simp instead and proudly declared "Aria is Justice!"

Author really butchered Aria's character growth in the last arc. They could have easily made her someone who reflected on her past mistakes, she didn't even have to apologize, just a simple "I can't change the past, but I intend to do things differently from now on" would have sufficed.

Instead Aria feels like she could be bestfriends with the MC of "Murim Psychopath".

She's never tried to be good, so I don't know what arc or character growth you were expecting. Licht also didn't say anything about accepting her past choices or anything because he doesn't care, she's nicer to him than humanity has been, and that's enough for him. Aria herself says that she only understands retribution, like what Tenebres is after, Licht didn't want revenge after his betrayal, so she didn't understand him.

The white knights in the comments defending this shit tier writing (aria and licht) are hilarious
Coming from the same hate bandwagons in Maou no Musume, I'm saying this again - Japan may have a point when saying piracy affects their sale.

The story was laid clear from the beginning. MC got betrayed by humanity, swore revenge, found a group of insanely strong demons, got recruited by them, and aided them in their conquest against other 3 demon lords. Humanity played little in the story, and they have always been in combat against the demon (Rose's castle invasion, Mizuki's home under siege for failing to side with humanity, Faris' sister forced to slave for humans). After all that, we're witnessing human's final attack with a strong ally in the name of Tenebres - she needed a strong motivation against demons, and she had. If this was any other isekai story, she'd be the MC, win the game and lived happily ever after. Instead, this is Licht's story, and naturally he prevailed.

Just like with Maou no Musume, I'm seeing a concerning trend here - readers of a "particular" story narrative coming across a series that goes against their expectation, and rather than dropping it, they stuck around and throw criticism that made no sense (given the series' setting). This series reached its ending after 10 volumes, it was popular enough to stay relevant till the end because JP readers actually voted. The global audiences simply consumed free scanlations and complain like they're entitled to the product.
