Ugh this might be my least favorite arc for how trash this guy is and how insufferable the mistress is. I can only console myself with the fact their end will be extremely enjoyable to read. Though if the ending of this arc is a very slap-on-the-wrist or unsatisfyingly quick conclusion I'm going to lose hope in this series.

I find this whole Emperor and his concubine thing so funny. The Emperor is trash but he's pretty flexible (with a good understanding of modern society, minus the no killing bit) and his concubine is so dumb and rigid. Why do I feel like he might kill her out of frustration.
