Souta after seeing he was rejected by Asahi (at least he thinks so) harnessed a different form of reiwa energy and converted it into more volleyball passion. Not only is he becoming better than ever as a player but he also wants those with real talent to flourish even more, especially his own team. Again, I really like how Souta was developed like this. He was also able to prove to himself that he really loves volleyball even if Asahi did not exist in his life and I guess with him thinking romance is now becoming out of his system, nothing is holding him back anymore.

You know, seeing this sort of development from someone is just so.... Inspiring, you know. Seeing someone break away from what "society" demands, the history of "results, not efforts," and every toxic thing thrown at him, and seeing it be whittled down, taken out slowly, and watch him learn that mistakes and failures are as important as successes and wins. You know, this chapter, the side text, was the first confirmation that Taiyou does like her romantically. It was obviously hinted at and talked about by other characters, but this is the author outright saying it. Then, obviously, Taiyou says/thinks it himself.

Which is not really a move I like. I preferred it when Taiyou could've realistically not liked her romantically. It could've been like the brother, just viewing her as someone to help support and watch over as need be. But whatever. It just went into the more clichéd route.
