It's like he wants all the classroom attention and wants to make sure all the girls that hurt him know. Of course they'd freak out and think what they did in the past has a correlation with it! Why not just say your name and something along those lines and be done with it? Then nobody would even do anything to him since they don't know him. My point is he never did anything to fix himself or improve his life until the girls—because of the guilt trip he caused (intentionally or unintentionally)—interact with him at a certain point.

This chapter makes everything make sense. I'm glad they're still together without any awkwardness, even after the bullying they endured in elementary school. There's no awkward drama afterward. They're so used to being together that they don't care what the world thinks. It's truly an enviable relationship.

Yukito is not right in the head because he has given up on himself long ago. Only recently he has started to see his own life and emotions as valuable and worth protecting.

I fucking LOVE that she jumped in as well to kick ass and take names, it's such a fresh change from the usual "boy jumps in to save the damsel in distress" that usually serves as the backstory for these kinds of childhood friends in manga. Nothing more peak than standing side by side with your girl as equal battle partners against the world!

I love this chapter, every single bit of it.

And honestly f**k the bullies, they got their just reward. Shame they didn't also beat those two girls who were probably jealous of their close relationship and agitated the bullies to target her.

But that was only grade school, mere 6 years in their 80+ years long life. And now their have allies who support their relationship.

Honestly, in the end this is SFW Incest. They are basically as close as siblings, only they are not really ones.
