This manga cracks me up. Page 11 is essentially "thanks for saving our country from certain destruction. To show our gratitude, we'll give you basic provisions."

Food and water are expected to be given to a messenger from another country, free of charge. Were this IRL, by offering only food and water as a reward the queen would (indirectly) be telling the protag that she is not, in fact, grateful for his help and she refuses to award him at all for his labors. Very Witcher-esque.

It's not spent time, the story is literally happening, they don't need to be running around punching things for the story to do story stuff.
They trained, interacted and worked together towards the best possible outcome for their current problem.

Give it some time and re-read the whole arc, start to finish, without having to wait 1 month for each chapter to be out.
You'll see that the pacing is not as bad as you make it out to be.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one complaining about the pacing of this arc
I know this series likes to spend time developing the characters, but something just doesn't feel right with this arc. Like there's less layer to the characters introduced in this arc.
The final fight could've ended three chapters ago, but it kept dragging on.
Anyway, onto the Beastmen village for Amako's arc (and Aruku's much needed character development)

Here's hoping that Usato isn't attacked on sight when the group heads into the beastmen country. I'm going to assume that curing the Mom will not take that long, but it'll be whatever was just mentioned as something weird going on that will be the rest of the arc. One thing I wonder about is if the fox girl will stick around after her mother is cured. And I can't wait to see what Rose and the crew will think about Usato bringing home Nea.
