Despite all depictions and hearsay, Japan was never ethnically homogeneous. They had the Ainu, Ryukyuan, Chuka-kei, Zainichi, etc. Japan was also a colonial power that, like other colonial powers, scrubbed their history to be more palatable; I believe that is one of the answers on why its so obnoxious, other than the novel authors being terminally online libertarian feudalists.
Who are the chuka-kei, chinese?

"wow this human is strong and so weird" same reaction over and over again.

I get that it makes sense that the new people they meet would have this reaction, but it's genuinely just getting so old to see the same gag over and over again

at least we don't need to see his companions constantly having this reaction.

Well, he is dangerous. If you get on his bad side. But otherwise, probably not. I'm almost certain.

It's strange of her talking she was in a hurry and such, considering how long it's taken them to get here, and how many side quests they've done.

Nah, it's good influence to be able to make that face. It's just petty to use it just because you feel insulted, though.

He stepped on the same landmine he should've known was there. And the she gleefully jumped on it.

"What kind of idiot would've believed you on the spot?"
Certainly not Rinka herself. Took some convincing, and some passing out.

So the hero was isekaied.

"You have a rather peculiar character."
He's not wrong.

Everyone's so easily insulted, and always threaten severe violence.

"Sorcery isn't the type of thing you use to get a workout in!"
Why not?

I think he used a little too much power...

So good at making first impressions.

And they still wanted to arm wrestle him?

Amako saw the future and told Usato to play full power. If he had gone easy and lost, the women would have had a good image of him so the real winner in the competition was Amako.
So she's a sneaky bastard. I like her.

"He is very strong so thatwhy he must be scary!" Uh.. most of strong people they tend to be rather gentle as long they ain't on drugs that is.
oh well i do still enjoy the manga.
I think it's less that they are scared that he is strong, and more that they are rapidly running out of potential methods to deal with him if they ever had to. You have to remember, these people have probably only ever had limited interactions with humans at best. Most of what they know is probably either passed down through the generations, or from rumors they pick up when they do interact.

So what Usato just did is basically having a person from one of your greatest enemy's team suddenly wander up to your town, unannounced, unprovoked, with one of your group's members moving with him for some unknown reason, and with a tank following right behind him (the bear) that isn't bound by a contract or leash.

Then his first interaction with you is to physically surpass you in terms of physical capabilities (and by no small margin either), and your race is internationally known for being one of if not the best race for them.

He comes off as being polite, but his companions still call him weird and sometimes even a monster. Then he goes on to destroy an ax and the surrounding ground just by swinging it downwards while chopping wood. And after that, he beats not just a few members of your community, but nearly every able bodied man in arm wrestling, without taking a break or losing even once.

Add on top of that the fact that he was brought here for the use of his healing abilities, meaning to everyone not aware of the rescue unit, this makes them think he isn't even close to being in a combat orientated position or role. He is actually a non-combatant, a civilian, someone who shouldn't even be involved in combat (outside of taking care of the wounded), and yet is still this powerful.

To them, they are likely thinking that if this guy isn't even a soldier, then what kind of strength or powers could the actual fighters have that he couldn't even find a place amongst their ranks? And what could we do if he suddenly turns hostile, or starts to demand things from us. What if he wants my body despite me already having a partner? Would he kill my husband/wife just to deny me an excuse? What if he is going to threaten us or extort us after he does us a service?

If only all white mage have 99+Str and Berserker combo.
The only game I can think of where it was common enough would likely be Ragnarok Online where there was a healer class of Acolyte where some people made them into an "Attacolyte" instead.

Otherwise, I'd say he is actually a Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1, haven't played the others) Monk. Chakra healing and an earth splitter attack.

There’s something about how Isekai authors write about human oppression that feels so dishonest to me. It’s always “humans did a bad thing, but now things are worse and you got to get over it” they do the same thing in moonlit journey but they actually talk about that hypocrisy.

The class president helps the humans oppress the demons even though they are fighting a brutal discrimination that is authorized and sanctified by the goddess. She ignores the plight of the demons because she is human. She honestly believes the demons have to suck it up and hope that in the future a human with compassion is in charge to help them. Makoto talks about how hypocritical it is for her to act that way.

Most isekai’s are like “We have slaves but most of them are treated ok so it’s fine” or “Beast folk are discriminated against but I’m not going to do anything about it because this isn’t my world”

Again we just started this arc so I’m hoping it gets more fleshed out but I doubt it. It’s around these arcs that I get too annoyed to continue a story. The realist king story lost me when they introduced that slavery arc too.
That's a general problem in anime, manga and LNs/WNs. Most of these authors are likely ignorant of actual accounts of past or even modern day slavery, societal discrimination, etc, nor do they have any personal experience of it. As for the iekai classic of "we have slaves but most of them are treated ok/the MC treats them well, so it's fine", it sadly seems to be way more widespread than it should be even outside isekai, again comes from a complete lack of understanding of what being someone else's property entails and highly unequal power dynamics in general. There are a lot of grey territories here too, like for example Julie in mushoku tensei (especially if you've read the LN), where you can argue in favour of that portrayal in a way, but usually even well treated slaves wish to free themselves (eg- Equiano for a historical example).

So far neither of them have been really scared besides the kids. And in media kids running away scared is 50/50 of scared and fun.

This is way too deep for this context.
