Please be better than the last arc.

Also, I hope the writer will tone down the "haha, MC is a monster" joke, because it's already been done to death 20-30 chapters in, now it's just that dead joke that one guy in the room who likes to keep saying it even though no one is laughing at it anymore. At least I don't, "comedy" is mostly dry in recent chapters. Yeah, yeah, new people will be surprised when they see his strength, but you don't need MCs' party to interject each and every time teasing him and laughing about it. I swear, whenever they joke about it yet AGAIN, I'm just "Ugh..."

The thing is, in Japanese series, most of the time they had been using Gender-neutral words when talking about a person, especially for those whose gender haven't been revealed yet.
But English language lacks a proper Gender-neutral word for he/she that is commonly used around the world. So, most of the times Translators just use the basic "he" without bothering with the context.

Which allows for greater ambiguity in titles where the antagonist's identity is still a mystery. You get the hench people referring to their boss in the gender neutral "that person/ano kata.

Logically speaking though, wouldn't a full head helmet kind of distort your voice? It's not that much of a stretch to say he couldn't really tell the knight's gender.
It's still pretty easy to tell the pitch of the voice and that's a good enough indicator. It's like talking into a bad mic, the voice might end up sounding really bad but you can still tell if its high or low and make a pretty good guess. Kind of makes sense why literally everyone else is certain the knight is a girl while Usato, who we know is extremely dense and has no social awareness, has no idea.

Wouldn't be a dense MC without the classic "getting the gender wrong" trope. But man, there sure are a lot of problems in each kingdom that are solved with healing magic. Maybe healing mages shouldn't have been ostracized in the first place

For people that already read the ln, will this better than the last arc? If not, at what chapter does things start to really picking up again? I thought the war was peak, and the mages' school arc is pretty neat.

This feels like someone min-maxed a D&D character by mistake, and just the core characters of the series make it interesting. It's kind of immune to dull plotlines, since all we care about are how the cast interact with said plot.
Exactly how I feel with the series. The characters are fun by themselves. Tho i gotta say the last arc was a bit dragged due to the gap in the updates 😔 its more wise to stack chapters when it comes to this series but I can't help it.
