probably a problem with ratios? compressing a fuckton of dirt to the point it's hard as steel doesn't really change the material, you're just using magic as some kind of ultra-powerful hydraulic press. turning sand into glass makes sense due to the sheer amount of silica etc., but turning mud and topsoil into perfectly transparent glass requires a much more drastic change with more steps in-between & this dumbass of an mc is clearly just trying to use magic to skip directly from A to C without even trying to, like... dry it and turn it to sand first or whatever that'd be more plausible. like using magic to transform a bunch of live silkworms directly into a shirt without letting them make cocoons first, you know?
Medoroa, a spell that is the fusion of both mera and hyado, from the manga Dai no Daibouken. It's pretty much a disintegration beam.what was the fire and ice-> ultimate anihilation spell reference? It sounds familiar
IMO maybe not straight out of pure earth. He should’ve tried to melt sand to make glass but eh, i’m not sure if all those INT stats really helped to make his thinking smarter."You can't make bulletproof glass out of earth."
Which fucking element is it made of, then? Air?
So I actually looked up how to make bulletproof glass. Apparently you need to bond together glass sheets with polyurethane which I guess wouldn't classify as earth magic if considering the classic four base elements. Maybe use a mix of plant oils and a combination of fire magic and earth magic for reaction and compression to make the plastic sheets?"You can't make bulletproof glass out of earth."

At that point, you're pretty much just making up a headcanon to fill in a flaw in the storytelling.IMO maybe not straight out of pure earth. He should’ve tried to melt sand to make glass but eh, i’m not sure if all those INT stats really helped to make his thinking smarter.
Polyurethane is just one type of plastic that can be used. So long as the plastic in question is a transparent thermoplastic that will adhere to glass once cooled, it can work for the process. So I actually looked up how to make bulletproof glass. It's the author's job to make the story make sense, not yours.
To be fair, the point of that scene isn't to talk about bulletproof glass. The point was to showcase that magic has limits, and if MC pushes those limits too far, he'll get in major trouble. To that end, the scene does its job.
The author just so happened to pick an imperfect way to go about setting that scene up.

Thermoplastics are usually polycarbonates, which are made from petroleum. AKA: rock oil.
Converting petroleum into plastic is a chemical process, using chemicals that are virtually always sourced from minerals.
Every part of bulletproof glass is made from earth.
I suppose that's possible, but I would personally be annoyed if they did that.Playing devil's advocate here since I agree with most of what you said, but seeing as other random but complex magics have been introduced since this chapter, the "earth magic" may refer specifically to manipulating existing "inorganic" matter. Manipulating organic matter such as petroleum may need "plant magic" or something similar.
The way i understand it it's more a matter of jurisdictionWas thinking the same thing lmao, how is making bulletproof glass “going against causality” when this other world should also have the same resources used to make it on Earth?
