I read the novel raws and honestly pretty boring. Lost its novelty pretty quick and just turns into a sex fest. If you were interested about the skill build up and what the goddess wanted him to do you'll be disappointed. All of that just takes a back seat not even a back seat its barely even acknowledged lol to just R18 stuff.

I guess this is it for me. The manga did have some potential, but the author chose to drag it out. Thanks for the heads up.

I have met several women like that and I'm from Europe, mind you.
My personal conjecture was/is that those women wanted/liked to have sex, but because they didn't want to be seen as sluts, they role-played to make it look like they were forced into it.

Oh, definitely not isolated to Japan. Just common enough that it swings to a vocal minority rather than something odd. Or at least to be the stereotype. There is a decent chance the fact that the ideal Yamato Nadeshiko being a demure, reserved woman might be repressive.

And while that may be the case, there are probably enough of other reasons for it to make those others supplement them.
