2090x3000 is already big and heavy, but that first page at 6279x9014 for 39.8Mb put a huge burden on my tablet.

The real problem is that it should've been saved as a 4bpp or 8bpp grayscale image instead of a 24bpp color image. That alone would've reduced the file size to 14 MB or less. Together with some more aggressive leveling for the blacks and the image could've been compressed all the way down to 3-5 MB with no visible degradation in image quality.

Zooming in, I can also tell that the image does not actually benefit from a resolution this large, and would probably still look the same at 3140x4507 pixels. This could've further reduced the filesize all the way down to less than 1 MB.
