Why were those wannabe-hunters event sent to the ancient temple?
There is no reason they needed to be there.
Was that really just a way to introduce the entrance of those evil guys because the author had no better idea how to shift the scene to that temple for their introduction into the story?

Slightly hesitant to definitely say the Cat Dud has an Okama archetype, but its the only character design that really fits. So far he has had too few lines to say for sure, but if he starts flirting with the MC or other males characters then it would be more clear.
