Oh yeah, there was the fact that Lupin in the first half of the manga was an ultra asshole... never read it myself but watched a few videos talking about the difference in portrayal and how much Miyazaki influenced his change.

Was kinda surprised when I discovered that, but I remember that in Castle of Clagiostro, when Lupin is remembering his younger days, the scene of him in a casino surrounded by women matched the description of his original self.

It was interesting to see how tastefully Miyazaki changed him... especially when I read that he was practically a psycho with how he treated his closest friends, that really surprised me.
