Yet another cop-out ending smh, is the author going to keep doing this and just add even more characters in a new installment?

I finally had the time to say my piece.

Special thanks to @LordZero for sponsoring every single chapter, and thank you everyone for reading my barely bearable translation.

To be honest, I didn't carefully read each chapter of the prequel (1/6), so I'm possibly missing on some key explanations as to what the Galatea Shards are or who/what Galatea is. I'm relying on dedicated fans who can maybe piece all of this information into one single coherent explanation.

Let's meet again somewhere. Until then, see you in the next one.

Cheers for 2025 :aquadrink:

There was the saying "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" so I don't care much about this part.
When I say "magic" I can accept advanced technology like you said... my problem really was the alien part, it is like every author needs to go to space with their story at the climax, and I think the only story to this day did this right was the one that started it... Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan.

Besides that I have don't really have that much of a gripe with the "mechanical" explanation.

But I agree with the rest of your comment, the "reason" for this shitshow had not in the slightest any sense, that is why I said it should have been "magic" because then we could say that some magic bullshitery happened, gave the shards that ability and end there, instead of having to make a "reason" for why it all happened.

Certainly an ending.
I mean could it have been better ? yeah but it is not one that ruin the manga, it just kinda end and everything before was still a good time so I do not have strong feeling over it.

It was a good run thanks to the people that made it happened :headpat:

Thanks TL and commissioner for the EN release

Hard to have a great ending on a series that ran for 12¹ years, but I'm happy with it, especially a gag series like this. You either stop suddenly, or have serious plot development for just the ending.

¹ 11 if you consider 2016 was a gap, 8 if you don't count ⅙

If a series ends because the entire magazine it was published in ends, you can't really call it being axed huh? That's like, one of those massive tree harvesting vehicles wiping out the whole damn forest.

Ngl I was really scared for a bit, I really expected them to not come back, through I would say that I would be fine with them not coming back if all of them not coming back, only the main girl staying behind would feel like a cope out, but it didn't happen so I'm fine with it.
But yeah, kinda rushed, I think it needed a volume or two more for everything to fall in place smoothly. But well since it's this series maybe we will see a third one, who knows, but well even if we dont, it was a good read.

Goodbye, Overdrive Girls

Abrupt end, yes, I would've liked more, but that's greedy and I should be happy. At least the wedding dress costume change satiates me somewhat.

So sad to see this one go. The rushed ending is unfortunate, but at least it was a happy one.

If OYSTER manages to bring it back in the future, I'm always down for more of these lovable goobers' antics. If not... well, it was certainly a ride that I'm glad we could take together. :salute:
