A harem of beasts. Well, that's somehow used. What's next? Saving a dragon? A phoenix? An arachne?

If I recall correctly, I read a manga a long time ago about an MC who was hated by his village. However, when he left, he managed to tame a few legendary beasts that later became part of a harem. Can someone remind me of the name of that incomplete waste of time story?

I'll never understand the obsession of this "Useless Class is secretly overpowered" genre, but I'll read it regardless because it's the kind of slop I like and this one seems to have better artwork. I do wish they stated he had a higher magical capacity/generation earlier on rather than when it was needed.

It's fine except the whole "i will train to catch up to those two". How about you train to do your own thing instead of simping?

Overused trope sadly. Tamer class useless only for them to tame some legendary SSS beast who later can tirn into women and form a harem of monster girls....

First: thank you for the translation.

Despite the fact I like this first chapter overall, the writing (not the translation) has some issues... not big ones, but they exist:

Naming a femrir before meeting one was extremely on-the-nose. It's like me hearing there's an explosion, and I say, "I hope that isn't Jim Gordan who sometimes likes to play with explosives—he lives in the same city." And then it's actually Jim Gordan, even though the city has 500k citizens.

It's just a bit hard to believe and forceful on the author's part.

I also don't like how the author is trying to start setting up the romance with the main character by making the reason he saved the fenrir was its beauty. I get that it's supposed to make the fenrir feel romantic feelings, but that reasoning is so weak (and also quite forced). Like, if it was an ugly wolf, he'd still free it due to wolves not being the elk or bear that trap was likely intended for (I say that because I don't think a normal deer trap would hold a fenrir) and a lot of hunters are kind to animals they don't intend to kill for food.

Well, that's only my opinion. I'm hoping the author gets better at subtlety and building up to things as time (and this manga) goes on.

I would love to buck that trope or better deliver it. Either give the main character a good class but make them work hard to become the best, or give a good reason people think it's a bad class instead of the tried and tired "nobody else did it".

For example, in a manga that had a solid first 100 chapters (before ruining it), there was a blacksmith occupation that was OP, but everyone hated it and thought it was underpowered for 2 good reasons:

1) The class was as rare as the hero class.
2) The previous blacksmith killed the hero, which terrified everyone, so the church executed them, called the class a blight, made all the learning materials forbidden, and a hundred years later no one remembered the real reason and just assumed it sucked because every person gets a special weapon based on their class from their class that's better than high quality steel. A blacksmith needs to level up a lot to beat that.

But yeah, the "weak class is secretly strong" trope is something that annoys me for the most part.

Thanks for the scanlation! Looks like it might be a fun ride. As a side note, love the translator bits at the end.

I literally only just read the first page before coming here. The reason being that you claimed that the quality wasn't great, only to hit us with a pristine full color first page with only the tiniest of smear marks from cleaning.

I think you're underselling yourself, mate.

"The moon is beautiful tonight" can also be interpreted as "I love you" :pepehmm:
Wolf girl seggs?
