… wasn’t mc a mage? Like, what? You bombed the whole fucking army but hesitated to attack traitors? Bruh. This feels so forced
I mean he did get blindsided by one of the prisoners while he was off guard checking something key about an item the bitch should have had. Kinda hard to cast spells in an small enclosed room after getting stuck by a prisoner who should be restrained
The fact that they're even in this situation is braindead. You captured the literal second most important person of the kingdom (a basically one-way ticket to ending the war) and also captured the villainess who instigated everything. And just threw them in a minimum security dungeon while you did what, stick your thumb up your ass until you remembered that you should probably interrogate these guys. Why not just interrogate them right after the battle? What could possibly be more important than negotiating an end to the war?
Where are you getting it’s a minimum security prison? There’s a lot of guards there at the dungeon and there wasn’t a reason for him to think that the bitch would have been able to charm the guards and make an escape when he had many soldiers with him and the prisoners were bound.
Also where are you getting that he was doing nothing? You realize there’s a lot of paperwork involved in wars right? Not to mention checking on your soldiers, making sure supplies are good, fucking your wife, setting up talks or maybe a prisoner exchange, etc… are all things that he was probably busy with
