Ugh... Author's love for aircraft and guns is so fucking overbearing. I can't take any of the combat or dangerous situations in this manga seriously when the enemies are just using conventional close-combat medieval weapons while he's using an entire arsenal of modern weaponry, it's just so ridiculous.

The choices we make in life can have dire consequences in time.

Having a pissed off mage dive bombing your armies with crushed ice because you took his girl, for example.

I’m holding off on the novel even though it’s pretty short, but I hope this picks up the pace a bit. Some people gotta die…
Patience. Our lad Allen isn't ever in a forgiving mood when it comes to the safety and well being of his girl.

From what I read from the web novel
They still couldn't rape her, but that doesn't mean they can't torment or torture her body. She is allowed to bathe but the magic sealing ropes are replaced with a collar instead. Anastasia believes they won't be able to break her since she has the protection of the spirits despite not being able to use magic. They lock her up in the dungeon with only bread and water in complete darkness, which they intend to last for a year until she breaks and becomes a soldier of the empire.
Good info, thanks. Major mixed feelings about it -- Japanese manga tends to struggle between the extremes of gratuitous attempted sexual assault sometimes played up for fanservice even vs. contrived and instant feel-good kidnapping resolutions, but I don't really know if I have a perfect better solution for how to talk about it in terms of plot and storytelling. This one I've noticed has been especially haphazard in terms of adult content.

Just goes to show that torture and abuse can come in many forms if the person in question is creative enough

Honestly, this might be even better since it shows the horrors that can come from a creative tormentor while also acknowledging the issues you brought up.
