This is an otome game with rpg gameplay. Extra hard is probably just higher rpg difficulty. Full text VN had been left behind, nowday galge and otomege need to have some semblances of gameplay if you want it to sell well.

Amy ends up being forced into prostitution after having her voice permanently taken away by Anastasia at the end of the story and is raped and treated so poorly that it's implied that she eventually dies from the abuse and disease stemming from it.

Frankly, the extra chapter that added this info soured my opinion of the story and the protagonists. Yes, she deserved to be punished for what she did, but just execute her if you want to be rid of her, not stoop to her level and torture someone in such a way. Hell, put her healing powers to use and have her do some good (especially since she could no longer be a threat at that point).

Hope that's changed then.

Ok, i read the novel i'm genuinely surprise, it was good.

Spoiler: My impression

Well when we compare it to another popular save villainess shounen/seinen troupe like mobuseka, the MC here is had bigger balls than mobuseka MC, he's hardworker, also not a coward, MC in mobuseka everytime the girls wanted to love him he always avoid them "i'm just a mob, i don't deserve to become their lover, and change game story any further", and it gotten worse in the later volume plus another harem member complicate further situation.

In this series, no harem whatsoever, it's just Annastasia and MC love story, no harem no triangle love, no bs it had lot of sweet moment, also it had moment where he think that he just commoner and don't deserve her, but after few sweet moment with Anna, he strengthen his resolve to be together with her, he see's her as person that he love, not as game character.
After that chad MC come meet with her father ask him for permission to be together with her, of course he doesn't approve that because MC social status, but he promise to become a man worthy of her by giving the duke the spoil from blizzard phoenix, man the balls of this MC, the ending i say is very satisfying, well depending if you like the cruel ending that Amy received or not, but the ending MC and Anna finally married, the novel was quite short but it's decent.
Doesn't mean it was better than mobseka, hell no, the world building there is superior with consistent theme, it's just the MC and romance is better

When talking about the game, Allen all but outright says Anastasia only counts as a "villainess" because the prince is a spoiled, stupid manchild unwilling to do any work. He hates Anastasia because of her noblesse obligue character, which would make him be responsible, and falls in love with Amy because she enables him and tells him he's perfect as he is. And then, after the duel (which, by the way, is actually rigged so Anastasia can't win no matter what, because the referee is literally one of the prince's servants) he sells her to their enemy empire, where she gets gangraped into insanity and then given a cursed sword when that's not enough to make her fight her kingdom. Yeah. It's clear the prince was a piece of shit even in the game, he just happened to be the "good guy" because the protagonist wanted to fuck him

Apparently Crown Prince pulls his head out of his ass when his kingdom gets bodied and the capital is annihilated. Still a simp but otherwise experiencing positive character development and growing as a person and all that good shit. So it's not like the original game just put in a garbage character with no redeeming qualities and left it at that.

Of course, that's little comfort to Allen on account of the aforementioned city destruction prerequisite.

Still, Allen seems to think that the Crown Prince and Marcus (glasses and book, future chief magician or prime minister or summat) can be reformed.

I don't think mobuseka's world building is more consistent. Halfway the author clearly forgot it was supposed to be matriarchal society.

I think that in the next ch ends "Allen's quiet life" because after this school event there are exams that were omitted and we move on to the duel that everyone wanted to see.

To everyone's bad luck, the WN is dropped by the author himself because he had a fight with his fandom, the novel is dead, don't expect a vol 4, this novel died in vol 3, vol 2 of the novel will be as far as they adapt the manga.

In the manga it is worse, we talk about continuing the story of vol 3 which is very criticized because it is filler of Anna and Allen according to the Japanese, the manga will adapt up to vol 2 of the novel and will end with the wedding of Allen and Anna, maybe an extra of them married but it will not give for more.

1. We won't see that, unless Allen spies the Duke at that moment, I don't remember if there was a POV of the Duke at that moment too?
2. Yeah, it's laughable that she denies that, at least in the manga design, eating Anna will be the best meal of all.
3. The manga will end at the wedding for sure, Amy's ending will come out as a summary so they won't make the reader feel bad.
