Where should read the WN to continue from here?
The people who have had it bad were those waiting for season 3 of Kimi ni Todoke. Complain about Netflix if you want but it never would have been made otherwise, probably. 13 years would make the 5 year Oregairu gap feel like nothing. (Fortunately when I watched these my wait was only 6 months for each...)Welcome to the purgatory Tomodachi no Imōto ga Ore ni Dake Uzai fans have been stuck in for three and a half years now. (Though we did finally get a studio announcement in the spring...more than three years after the fact.)
25.1 and 25.2 covers WN Chapter 87 and 88. You can go straight to Chapter 89Where should read the WN to continue from here?
Nobody really had any expectations for a new season there until recently, though. It's not like there was an announcement at the beginning of 2021 and y'all've been counting the days until some actual info dribbles out. Kimi no Todoke
2009 - 2010 Season 1 (two cour)
2011 Prequel Side Story (Unrequited Love with Ume; 1 episode)
2011 Season 2
2024 Season 3
Imma throw spoilers on that (and quietly suggest you do the same). Now for my spoilers:October 1st can't come fast enough. Based on the synopsis on Amazon, Maki is finally starting to realize Yuu's feeling. Though, I do think it will thankfully be all for nothing, unless the author severely fumbles the story. But, I have faith.
海と友達になってはや1年。海のおかげでちょっとは垢抜けてきた気がするそんな頃――新田さんが、海の前で堂々と俺を花火大会に誘ってきて!? 結局いつもの皆で行くことになるも、天海さんの様子も少し変?
Tfw it's an intentional play by play of Umi's own breakdown back in the culture festival - breakdown while hugging Maki (from front this time) complete with calling him a dummy/idiot.Imma throw spoilers on that (and quietly suggest you do the same). Now for my spoilers:
The LN is entering the arc where Maki finds himself forced more and more to declare hard boundaries between himself and Yuu while she's become both more and more dependent on him and less and less able to respect those boundaries.
The last fully narrative chapter of the WN currently posted (not counting that chapter) has her suffering an emotional meltdown, running away to seek out Maki and then throwing herself into his arms with Umi only minutes, if not seconds, away.
That's not a fumble, that's the play as drawn up.

It was there when Yuu stormed into Maki's place like a jealous lover demanding to know if he was hiding Umi there. It was there when she lost her shit with the class during first- year festival committee selection. Heck, it was there when she kinda forcibly made Maki the first boy to ever get her contact info. It was always baked into the pie, but it would take a lot of narrative space to properly flesh it out.tbf this was setup long ago... I just realized that this probably was long planned since thr new class layout setup
The twins with Yuu don't count.those two gets married and have kids, are aging and old
Umi: Hmph, it's not like I'm dating you or anything, but don't you have families with other girls now
