I don't know why the classes have an assumption he's a slacker just because he's a gloomy person. It's not like he ever being seen ditching any task.
I can understand that it's easy to have prejudices but this kind of trope is overused and kinda unrealistic. Or... maybe Japan culture and mindset is just too different compared to my country.

wasn't cos he's a slacker necessarily, but because it requires him to speak up in front of others. when he did so in the first chapter about his interests it kinda bombed and he's always alone so he seems like the type who would be a bad leader. it's unfounded bullshit regardless

This story is nice, characters has some depths into them. Umi and maki already met each others parents which is a classic for straight to peak series and we saw it here too. Lastly i really like yuu sometimes bc she doesnt stand back for meaningless shit and talk directly of she has something in her mind and those guys are so dumb, they all like yuu but talking bad about the guy she is clearly friends with. They r so fuckng dumb.

They meant like he cant talk in a meeting, thats the case for socially awkward people or really shy people but maehara doesnt seem like that yet they doesnt even know him or try to know him so they just assume.
