I mean it's pretty tasty and you can find them easily in various different types in the convenience store over here. Also you can occasionally find stores that specialise in pudding too. It's probably something that is common enough that it would be plausible that a sibling would steal it...I wonder if pudding is a really big deal in Japan. It appears in quite a few manga as a highly coveted treat, which is also often stolen by a family member, creating petty drama.
Where I live, puddings have traditionally been overshadowed by various kinds of yoghurts, and I guess they still are, with various quarks also offering stiff competition, but maybe 10-15 years ago protein puddings started appearing (a pudding with a presumably higher protein content and often lower energy content). Those have got relatively popular. So, I was just wondering if it's the other way around in Japan. Though obviously Japan never was as invested in dairy industry as the northern Europe.I mean it's pretty tasty and you can find them easily in various different types in the convenience store over here.
