I mean, they're high school-aged. Even if they're at the latest of 18 years old, the latest research suggests a person's brain isn't fully developed until they're 25, on average. I think we can say that 18, while being the 'age of majority', is also the average age where people start to become more conscious of their actions, decisions, and the weight that comes with them.

The reason why most of these romcom mangas take place in high school years is it's because it's a time of whirlwind emotions, confusing situations, and most importantly, 'growing up'. Add into the complications of growing up in a single-parent household that neglects their own kid, let alone a married pair of parents letting a high schooler live on their own with no supervision, why wouldn't their emotional developments be stunted?

By that then he shouldn't have taken her in. It's a bit annoying because it feels like we're being baited with like a few steps forward then all of a sudden it looks like twenty steps back. This almost feels like RaG so far.

Somehow all these wingwomen and wingmen seem to have an impact at first but then it turns out that their contribution looks like 0. This is an edgy and cringey high schooler being exaggerated to the extremes, maybe beyond extremes now as of this chapter. I think this is the 3rd chapter now that the author pulled this kind of thing on us?

I mean what's the point of rediscovering your first love if you're gonna act like nothing happened? If you're still treating her like a stranger you just offered to help out of nowhere, this first love stuff is useless for the story. I expected him to at least be alittle ecstatic about it like "Oh! this must be a destiny assigned by Heaven's Will! Or some God in Japanese religion or something excitement sounding" but instead it's MEH: the wingwoman mentions it then it goes through one ear and out the other like nothing.

There are so few cohabitation titles and it looks like the author is just using it to get an extra tag for the title instead of actually delving into it. Honestly, several more chapters like this would probably earn this title a failing grade from a Creative Writing Professor.
