i mean i know Saito is "technically" fair game (ironically by law, he isn't cuz he's engaged lol), but i'm more baffled by the fact that he barely has any reaction to it, i'd at least expect him to address it while he's talking to Himari, but he barely says... anything? to her... he comes off as an NPC in his own fake relationship with Himari, barely any reaction, just literally two words, and thats it, Himari does most of the talking.

Not to mention that Akane doesn't even bring it up to Saito, and he doesn't make ANY mention of that kiss to her, either... he almost feels like a plot device that things happen to. but maybe next chapter they will talk about it. for now as it stands, Saito is no different from any other harem MC. he comes off as DDLC MC-coded, esp in the second half of that game where the MC barely says anything and you're just forced to watch the characters self-destruct lol

So I was right that the reason she was antagonistic to him started because he simply didn't remember who she was from however many years prior to when they met again.

I get that it can hurt to be forgotten, but dang girl it would have just been easy enough to tell him who you are right then and there. Of course if that happened we wouldn't have a story, so there is that.

Also, Himari being on the offensive this chapter and giving him that kiss...hot dang! She is trying to mark her territory with him by kissing him AND declaring war on Akane.

And now we also seem to see that Akane will be on the offensive to fight back and NOT let Hmari take him. Honestly, I really don't want Akane and Himari's friendship to be destroyed over this, but I fear it will be...and that's rough. I really like Himari and you can see that both Himari and Akane care for each other a lot, but when it comes to Saito this isn't going to go well.

...Akane going on the offensive after all this time feels frustrating. Especially when her all reason for letting it get to this point is over the stupidest reasoning ever. If not for that stupid arrangement by the grandparents, this aggravating chick wouldn't even be in the rearview mirror. Yet we all know she'll win even though she honestly shouldn't. Ahh, give me a spin off or something where Himari wins.

But it went exactly the wrong way. Letting Himari go this far for Akane to finally do something. Situation being only possible due to her pushing the MC so far away that it is was just pissing off readers. Only for what? Our MC is going to have to "seriously" consider both girls as a potential wife?

When the story is literally built up on him and Akane being together? Is the story author just out there insulting people intelligence or what?

I just feel for Himari fans in this one. I hope that she gets a satisfying conclusion. Not just end up alone after losing her crush.
