To Shion, Takuya is her hero, who helped her break out of her reserved shell and become more confident. As mentioned above, she became an idol, hoping Takuya would find her, but there was no success. My thought is that her chance encounter with him in middle school reignited her feelings for him (she was in disguise, so he didn't recognize her). She then set her plan into motion to retire from being an idol and move to the quiet town to enroll in the same high school as Takuya.

I was legitimately cringing during that 3v1 confession (no seriously, what the fuck was up with that??) while saying: "bro why tf would you think she would accept any of those 3 guys??? DO YOU NOT SEE HOW SHE ACTS WHEN SHES WITH YOU???"

Author just wanted to show us that this hot babe will choose our talentless, zero personality, wimp of a MC over those hot high achieving guys.

There are many teen who dont have any social skill because they never had the possibility to learn them, and these kids often end up being blind, or unable to know how to react in this kind of moment.
Many end up passing by the one they love, and missing the chance of their life.

Also, many teenage girl act like she does toward him, but with no attraction toward the dude.

That last bit is very hard to believe honestly, at least the "but with no attraction towards the dude"

There's very little real world correlation to actual teenage behavior. It's just a bunch of Shonen tropes.

Light, mindless, distraction reading which is fine. It beats contemplating how nasty and brutish the outside world has become.

But don't ever fall into the trap that this type of content in any way reflects reality in even the slightest.

Personally I would have laughed if she low-fived all three and said "Who's on first?" Then looked over at her BFF and the dense MC and winked.

What do you mean it's hard to believe? It's a fact, where do you think all the joke about being friendzoned come from?
It's because many dude were super close to girls and these girls acted like they would toward a dude they were attracted to. But they were not attracted to these dude because of some random things like "but you're a brother to me".
