Love to see Nellie doing well, her past condition still hurts my heart.
This "negotiation" will break down quicker than the river's current speed, by the way... if this river starts up north, and the northern coast is connected to the ocean doesn't it mean this is a salty river? Or am I forgetting if these countries actually aren't that up north that body of water we saw on the map in this chapter is a lake?
I wonder how long was the time gap from that talk between Clenn and Alicia to the departure date.
Since Nellie have got quite the QoL improvement between the little tone for glossy/shiny hair, less ruffled hair and probably enough etiquette lessons to be there for the send off.
I would bet between two weeks and a month, they don't have instant communication (as far as I know) so they must communicate by couriers or messenger birds, so early-stage proceedings for the meeting would take at least 2 weeks.
Then comes the whole quagmire of political maneuvering, Boleates lost their lead man (quite spectacularly too), but they still caused damage and aren't exactly at a disadvantage, which means that the other nations had kinda to bully and threaten them to convince them to appear, which in the end would happen... but again... quagmire.
So yeah, maybe it would be best to say 3 weeks at the lowest.
