@Purplelibraryguy Persophone is also sometimes attributed to spring and remember all that talk about how spring is colette most beloved season from last chapter 😀.
Edit: but nothing of that really matters is you have already saw the future volumes covers XD.
@Dethaw Hate not really but not much is talked about their relationship beside siblings and inlaws. Demeter's relationship with Hades mostly focuses on her daughter Persephone and Hades marriage. With it be the allegory for the Seasons.
I agree though this series only focuses on the Gods role and name in mythology and not any of their stories.
Silly me, I was confusing Demeter with Persephone in my memory and I was thinking it was a peculiar choice to make her Hades's sister XD still, a nice development, and I'm the siblings seem on good terms :3
I am borrowing words from someone else who mentioned this before.
To those who don't know: Persephone was originally "kore" and in this case, technically, "Collette" in Japanese is "Korettu". The manga chose to call her by her original name is probably to make it less obvious what sort of story the author was going for... I assume.
So Demeter showing up gives me a few ideas where we are heading. She will A: adopt Collette. B: she is Collette's biological mother but circumstances had her separated from her.
Either way. The story is picking up speed to its mythos
So Colette will get adopted by Demeter and use that wine of eternal youth that she won in Dionysus's bingo contest, eat a pomegranate and marry Hades, right?
i was literally about to ask how are they going to bring up the topic of persephone/kore now that demeter has appeared and then i read the comments... yall are geniuses
