No good, indeed no good. While it has the opening chapters and conclusion, there are no middle chapters that would develop the characters outside their superficial appearances. This was most obvious with Makiba who while looking like a nerd has little to no actual substance to her. The ending is also inconclusive. Is it a harem? Vanilla ending? Kiriko ending? Its not clear, nor do I see why Rikuo needs to give in to childhood pressures when he decisively rejected Makiba. At first I thought the end would be Rikuo gets noone, and I was prepared for a bold take in the harem genre, but instead this wishy-washy ending makes it entirely average. Lastly, where was the beast Vanilla I was promised? She really was never a threat at all, no good indeed.
