Whilst im a little sad to hear this ended, I think 30 chapters might be a good length for this story, doesn’t give it anytime to go off on weird directions or introduce needless characters. Hopefully it just focusses on telling its main story well

Being a slenderman the way he extended his hand there makes me think that situation was a lot more dangerous than it looked. Since following a slenderman just disappears you off to fae land or what not like a boogy.
Not Slenderman, not "a slenderman", just vaguely shaped similarly. Slenderman never had chameleon powers, this is akin to a doppelganger. Just that doppelgangers in more modern pop-cultural appearances has a similar design to Slenderman.

Fun fact! "Kare" and "kanojo" are not only super rare in Japanese, their origin isn't really Japanese per se:
Both terms were invented by Japanese translators after the end of the isolationist period in order to translate European texts to Japanese. While their use in modern Japanese has evolved (notably used to refer to a boyfriend/girlfriend), using them as third person pronouns is typically seen as a form of disrespect (in the Japanese sense at least, I can't really understand the notion myself).
[At least this is what my teacher taught me, if I am missing something and you are more knowledgeable than me do let me know.]
According to Wikipedia (so, you know, grain of salt), "kare" existed for a while as a gender-neutral third person pronoun while "kanojo" (technically "ka no onna" which was shortened to "kanojo") was, as you say, popularized in order to translate European texts. I don't think I've heard that using them is disrespectful necessarily, though perhaps it may be considered such if e.g. you already know the person's name but are choosing to use the pronoun instead.

I'm fascinated to see how she interacts with her victim's parents.

The poor things.

I appreciate your detailed notes on terms and translation decisions.

I also appreciated the content warning on the other chapter.

Deffo gonna pick this up when the official English comes out. Interesting story and rad art style. You've done great work so far. It'll be interesting to see what different decisions they'll make.

I salute our brave fan localizers and translators who have to work around The Pronoun Problem.... or worse the 'the subject of this sentence is implied'..... Ive dabbled with a friend in re-translating and its.... tough......
