I've realized my issue with this story. I could excuse the horrendous deeds of the villainous protagonist (as a character, not irl) if he were at all smart or had any personal agency. As it is, the demon chick has held his hand and led him at every step.

This could be a lot more interesting if in between all the heinous shit was an actual cat and mouse game with him using his power in interesting ways to evade police capture. Rather than just being guided through every decision.
