Oh god, what did el cucaracho do during "that time"? Maybe he has some sort of trump card based on his fight or flight
I think it might be that the logic behind how he dodges being not just super-human reacting & dodging.

Namely the times that he managed to dodge attacks that should be from blindspots in his fight against both Beatdown & Violence Incarnate. And it seems that Tomahawk & Beatdown both managed to figure out the principle(s) behind his ability to dodge seemingly undetectable or undodgeable attacks.

Ok here's my idea

Throughout the manga we constantly get fighters who are able to dodge/block attack through a variety of ways
Using Florida man as my main example his perception of time allowed him to see the attack then move his arm/leg to block the attack
What if El Cucaracho no longer even needs to have the attack begin.
That is, El Cucaracho begins to dodge when the opponent just thinks about the attack and hasen't even moved yet
In this case it no longer matters how fast Pete is, bc no matter what move he does he still needs to think about executing the attack which is the new trigger for El Cucaracho's dodge

So disregarding all the hype and speculation, I just want to bring up how satisfying it is to see Tomahawk come back to hang out with the boys. Like its just fun to see the convicts hang out with each other and now the posse is finally complete (except Samoan, R.I.P).

I kinda hope the ending is something like all the losing convicts working together to break out because at this point I want them to have a happy ending too.

Right!? Especially when you realize that at least one of them is innocent.

Looks like el cucharacho's finally taken enough damage to reach the completely unconscious mode he showed off in his backstory (and his battle against violence incarnate?).

That shot of Pete looking into the sun/distance wondering if he'll face the opponent of his dreams then cutting straight back to Roach is so good. So perfect in its simplicity.

The orchestra helps even more. Pete is the fluid orchestra, Roach is the silence. It's anyone's game.

El Cucaracho only has no rhythm because he doesn't even try in his fights. Beatdown is able to hear his beat when he starts dodging (IE: actually taking things seriously). We'll probably get a Cucaracho sound reveal next chapter.
