nah it's basically a loop of bad-decisions leading to their kid ending up exactly as their parents.

you can get from the "ignorant girl" pannels that when she was a teenager, she had no knowledge of sex.
and you understand why because as an adult you get to see how she deal with her own child reacting to her relationship with her husband, it seem like her first instinct is to lie and avoid explaning anything to her own girl as well.

her own parents probably raised her the same way which is why she ended-up getting with a dominant guy that didn't mind "teaching her" about relationships, making her a bit submissive as well.
