I feel like there's a difference, between saying you want to be appreciated and "i might just leave you for him", also not once did she say how she herself feels in that conversation

ngl, from a third-party perspective, this chapter looks like a person in a higher position (popular, attractive, with many options, etc) manipulating someone in a lower position.
The "maybe I'll go with him if I feel like it" was completely unnecessary and malicious. Especially when he is genuinely struggling with that kind of possibility.
And it's her constantly demanding proof of love from him, instead of extending a helping hand by showing affection and reinforcing that she loves him.
I get that they are kind, but the way this is presented feel like the author thinks this is a healthy dynamic.

People need to look not at single chapter but whole story.

If normal guy manages to snatch "national beauty" as a girlfriend. It's not surprising that he is struggling with self esteem. The true drama of this story is that they aren't talking about it.

Sure, but also consider the fact that the dude is really struggling with his self esteem, so a joke that she might just leave him for someone else, especially when he already feels inferior to that particular person, is in extremely poor taste, and as the other person mentioned, very manipulative.

And the story does not bring attention to it being wrong, instead we get a makeup sex scene and everything is supposed to be solved with that. (until the next drama inevitably starts if this side ship keeps being explored)
