wow, that handling of the letter was some 4D chess stuff. while i knew that Ellen handled it perfectly and with much depth, i didn't think that the father had planned to let it happen.

Well it isn't apparently. Then again if you think about it, if it was actually common knowledge, the royal family would have lost their legitimacy a long time ago. The basis of their legitimacy after all is their closeness to spirits - that they built a castle on their hot spot.

This is the kind of prince whose schemes were able to peacefully exile both the princess and the king which I think resulted in the prince being the de facto leader of the kingdom now. While we don't know yet how he would get Ellen, I do think that he can come up with something non-violent, and with little or no coercion.
Well, if there's one way to make it easier for the prince, it would be to make his son charming enough that all he needs to do is to get Ellen to meet him. If the son was adoptive, he probably wouldn't be cursed, and Ellen wouldn't be wary of him that she would discover his real identity.
