What hurts me the most as reader is the poor writing of this drama and how the MC came to such conclusion.

I do feel that the MC absolutely NEEDS a romantic interest(we can't avoid this) that isn't some royal bastard(cliche as fuck) but one who sees her for what she is, not another male who gets hard and jerks off because she is the child of the hero and a spirit.

@mage_goo
Don't miss the part king engrained into the prince's brain he must have the hero's bloodline marry into the royal family.
The Prince is obsessed like the King but on lesser degree that likely will grow as time passes. By now he already is a creepy stalker, this is a fact that cannot be denied.

Isn't like the prince wants to ask the spirits forgiveness but that he wants to see MC again to apologise for hurting her AND keep tabs on her.

@Cyouni So, let's say your great-great-grandfather stole the modern-day equivalent of a billion dollars. Since then, it was lost in a fire. Obviously, you are alive because of your great-great-grandfather, and no one in your family has literally destroyed themselves trying to return the billion dollars they don't have.

You said that it was lost in a fire, but on what generation, my great-great-granfather? Was everything lost? Are there assets of my great-great-granfather handed down? Also, our laws doesn't give capital punishment for money theft, they do assets confiscation. So if the law proves that the assets are tied to that, they can confiscate it, it's that fair to me? Hell no, but that's law. (fortunately for me, my dad parents died when he was young, and he didn't inherit anything, and my mom parents didn't leave anything and were poor as peasants, so I have no worries about that kind of problems).

Why should you die for this crime?
They can repent and atone, but you can see the king isn't interested on doing that, and the prince just want some kind of liberation. If not probably that curse is going to end then sooner or later, because that's how blood curses work.

It started pretty well... it's currently pretty convoluted for no reason. Is the original LN also this messed up in terms of plot pacing?

@PoH

Yeah, this story has a lot of issues. For one, we are lacking a significant amount of world building and background information to help explain the present circumstances. We kind of get a summarized version to an extent, but there is not enough detail, and it only seems to tell half the story.

Secondly, we have a "villian" (the king) who is "evil" for the sole purpose of giving the story a "bad guy" character, even if it is blatantly forced. No one thinks how he thinks. It is beyond delusional to the point of being obviously forced. It doesn't fit at all. The guy gets a first hand experience showing exactly why his family lacks spirit powers, and immediately goes "I get why you hate us, we did horrible things to you, I would have done the same as you guys did, but even so, im gonna need you to let me get a bit of those powers, I need them". Only sociopathic narcissists think that way. The king isn't one, since he clearly emphasized with the spirits.

His children are semi-idiots too.they know what happened, what caused it, and the outcome. But insist on recreating the same exact scenario, just with a slightly different dialogue. They mean well, but lack almost all common sense. Good on them for wanting to apologize though, at least they are not complete fuckups.

Biggest thing is, isnt she a reincarnated scientist? With a mature mental age? Capable of rationalizing and problem solving? Or was that experience so disturbing it caused her to mentality regress?

But even still, why does no one even try to explain anything to the other side? This entire thing could be solved if they just said what was needed to correct any misunderstandings. Clearly the royal family didi nit knkw why they were disliked, and assumed it was a pointless reason. If Origin would have explained it to them, it may have turned out differently. Humans do not live as long as she does, so known information and common knowledge changing is almost guaranteed to happen.

Also, what the fuck do you mean they never intended to curse them? How the fuck do you accidentally curse a bloodline, something you more or less seem to think was going too far, and then just say fuck it, let'em be cursed because you cant be bothered to try and help your own people who are suffering. And furthermore, continue to hold the humans responsible who are innocent because you cant be bothered to do something about it, but are more than willing to let you own daughter handle it. Some fucking goddess. Take some personal responsibility for your side's fuckup.

This story is basically 2 groups, the spirits and royal family, who at one time 200 years ago, had an incident. Where the royal family did a very horrible thing to the spirits. Then in retaliation, the spirits haunted the king until his death. But the spirits fucked it up, and somehow accidentally curesed the entire bloodline. But because they held all the power, they just denied their own mistake and just left it unresolved. Now 200 years later, the royal family still is suffering from a curse which no longer has jack shit to do with any of them. The spirit goddess agrees with them that the curse was a bit much for a punishment, but still wont bother fixing it, for some dumb reason. Now her daughter, who got a feel for the curse first hand, is forced to fix her mothers error by herself because "Mommy can't be bothered if it doesn't involve your father's dick".

I seriously cant decide which side is the real asshole (the present day goddess or the present day royal family, not the king from 200 years ago who clearly was the asshole at that time). One is punishing the other without saying why they are doing so. One is demanding cooperation from the other without even trying to understand why they do not want to.

I still hate how the aunt and her child are being treated. Straight up ostricized by their own family for fucking thought crimes. Ellen even says that the goddesses were being unnecessarily harsh yet everyone has no problem with treating them like trash.

The royal line will never get rid of the curse until they show real remorse for what they did 200 years ago. Ellen will be the guide for that, but I believe the royal family will repeat past mistakes before anything is done.

@MCX01 The king should abdicate, and also renounce the princes' right to the throne permanently. Have some other family rise to the position. That would be a good first step. Their ancestors did what they did to gain power, so letting go of the power they have would be a genuine show of remorse. But of course since the king regrets absolutely nothing and in fact still dreams of making the spirits' power his own, just like his predecessors, it's impossible. It would be a waste of time to try to make the current king understand anything. The young princes might still be willing to accept change, though.

All of them are coming out to be either arrogant or stupid or both.

If the royal family really needed the power of the spirits for something, they should’ve just compromised and adopted someone from outside their family so the curse could finally die off and they wouldn’t have to keep doing this for each generation.
