I, for one, like the cousin. It's great to see a normal teenager acting like one. And jup, being jealous of the famous other child, not acting noble because she didn't grow up that way, and wanting attention, too, especially for hard work (studying, she's the successor after all) is gloriously in character. it said there, they used the punishment the great spirits were imparting unto the king to anchor their souls, and they did it at a genetic level, in other words they are bind to their genes. And their power has become so thin that they can't hear them anymore unless another living spirit get close enough. So without outside intervention it shouldn't happen anything when their blood disappears.

(the sealed cellar they found) and you can't see from the attitude of the prince and the actions of the royal family that they aren't repenting, is there anything good to an apology without repentance? The king seems just to want power, and seems like he will do whatever is needed to get it (like the first king) and the prince just want to apology to feel liberation.

Very interesting route this story is taking. Weird how the title clearly focuses on the spirit girl, but the new lead will be this new kid? I can't think of a reason for Ellen having feelings for the prince right now, because they've literally only ENCOUNTERED each other like once or twice. I despise the royal family's obsession with the spirits too. Seemed the first king just wanted to rule with Origin's power and exploit her. Unless there's some kind of evil god threatening the kingdom, I don't see a reason for Ellen to actively support the royal family either, her goal is more specifically to free the spirits of the damned, which I can only think 2 ways of it happening. Either her powers transcend time itself or her power become more abstract and she can also manipulate the ethereal. But now they're introducing a new lead, so for all we know, they might literally forget about all of that and go on adventures. I somewhat enjoy this series, one criticism I see often for this series, is how seriously everyone takes this little girl, even if it's technically a grown adult in a little girl's body. Though, could also be excused because of the fact she's a spirit, so she's seemingly immortal and can be older than she looks or even just the title itself earns more respect than any mundane little girl.

This manga likes to flex but never does anything. Angering the spirits, angering the hero, angering the MC, etc... Nothing happens, lol.

Even batman at least TRIES to beat up joker when joker does mass genocide or something. This manga does nothing, lol.

But what they are now is build on what those ancestors did. The current family and previous generations did that "prayer thing" and it says there clearly that they didn't hear the reason why they do the prayer and didn't care to know and wouldn't have known if the thing with mc didn't happen.

They know they need to keep their distance, but they at the very least want to apologise face to face.

The vengeful spirits don't jump out unless she gets within certain proximity to them, so that shouldn't be regarded as illogical.

Either way they are still kids and I don't disapprove of them at the very least apologising for a thing they had no idea or knowledge about themselves

In all honesty, that is a respectable quality from the prince. So far he has shown to be still a child at heart, but a child with the heart and head in the right place.
