First, I'm glad she survived the pregnancy. Considering the time/setting, maternal mortality would already be sky high and that is ignoring potential complications from bearing the offspring of a giant snake. I was actually half-expecting her to die during delivery from last chapter from snake eggs splitting her open.
Second, I hope the snake baby doesn't end up eating it's sibling or turning on her.
Third, the scalely child is the kind of hybrid character you normally see as either the MC of a shounen battle manga or one of it's major villains. Overall, it went better than I thought it would (really glossing over the accelerated gestation period), however I am increasingly nervous about the direction of the story.
