The artstyle is quite peculiar. Reminds me of one or two "promotion" manga. A Promotion Manga, in this context refers to a limited manga series that was published to promote an LN or an upcoming anime. Its usually to promote a Light Novel. The thing about Promotion Manga is that they are often have insanely good artstyle that weirdly balance between a Shoujo, Seinen and Shounen mainstream style. The female casts would be drawn to be very eye catching as well as lewd, the male casts would be drawn as if they are straight from CLAMP or Sailor Moon series.
Since it is a Promotion Manga that is essentially one form of advertisement, the story will often end in a cliffhanger. To entice readers to buy the LN.

It's weirder that a mouse can keep up with the cat. Considering the difference in a step, so yea, it would be weirder if she couldn't keep up.

Is there even a light novel of this? The site i mainly use doesn't show one and google only showed me some crusty re-uploads of this translation.

Ahh, so since she's a Medium she'll probably try to learn Throwback. Maybe she'll get a pretty elven transformation!

Yeah, the artstyle is quite unique and one of the features that drew me in as well.

Anyhow, thanks for popping in with the new chapter! I am quite worried about what's to come considering the implication in previous chapter. I feel like at any moment this manga can get very frigging dark.

For a shoujo title, the backstory and world building feels like a Final Fantasy or a high production JRPG entry.
It uses a giant sword embedded in the landscape as a centerpiece.

I did noticed the artist and author are different names. This usually happens when the author is focused on writing.
Kochira Last Boss Maoh Jou Mae "Kyoukai" is the artist other work listed here. I am familiar with this title; its an LN that have a Promotion Manga here.
It is highly likely Unicornis is an LN itself. It is possible the title isn't popular enough, yet, to rank first page in a search result. That, and Japan's internet feels like its a near-close system on its own. Like an internet within the internet.
You might find something about Unicornis LN if you are in Japan, using a Japan PC or smartphone while using their ISPs and search engine.

Given that she can run with a full load of firewood, she's packing some heat in those limbs.

Those knights need to start hitting the treadmill, since an underfed little girl is making them sweat in a race. 🏃‍♀️

Come to think about it, is it possible Light (bird/squirrel) can do Throwback as well? :thonk:

Unicornis is manga original (although it’s tagged as “Narou-kei” on KadoComi there’s no WN on the author’s Syosetu page, let alone an LN).

“The Church in Front of the Devil's Castle” LN itself only got to two volumes - the WN had 8 “seasons” and was still ongoing when the second LN volume came out, shortly before the manga began serialisation - so can definitely be considered axed so if it was a promotion it wasn’t exactly successful.
The manga artist did five bonus pages on Twitter to celebrate the final WN chapter https://x.com/sugilight/status/1342430264161521665 (spoilers, obviously).
