Are you able to share any plot spoilers for us manga-peasants who are stuck here below the axe?

Lots of suffering for the protag.
Some later volumes have a few plot points (and writing style) here and there that feel cheap, in the same vein of all those base isekai novels, but the story mostly still holds very strong. If you like reading, and liked the manga you'll probably enjoy the LN.

Volume 2; chapter 3. But it's so early in the story and barely anything happened at that point, so if you're interested in reading it you should probably just start from the very beginning in vol1.

Incorrect. The axe was due to low sales and the publisher being reluctant to advertise loli Ante and the amputee elf. The slow pace of the series was also an issue as the mangaka tried to speed it up but that just annoyed fans of the LN. It's popular enough it may get another chance after the original author changes the elf and Ante's designs.

Zilbagias is running a territory he recently conquered after convincing the demon king to grant it to him. The purpose on paper is to allow humans "citizenship" so they can grow crops and raise livestock for the demons, as well as rebel in the future just to give the demons a fun fight. Zilbagias goal is obviously to strengthen the humans so that the rebellion will not be fun for the demons, but lead to their eradication. He's also in a relationship with Faravgi's(the dragon he's fighting in the manga) daughter. He's met up with his (undead) childhood friend from the first chapter.

Whatever you are willing to share, buddy. I know many of us will be grateful either way.
