I reallyyy think the reason why she wants him to stay useless is to make sure no other ppl get close to him, at least romantically. She most likely has some sort of trust issues or low self-esteem (or perhaps thinks hes a rly good catch(?) ) that shes scared hes gonna be taken away. The less appealing to others he is, the more comfortable she becomes. Thats my theory at least.

She definitely has her own trauma with social relations and abandonment. I do think she genuinely loves him or is attracted to him and something started that, but definitely as far as their relationship goes she clearly wants him to stay as dependent on her as possible. Which isn't super healthy for either of them. The MC should become someone he can feel confident in being. The female lead should both come to trust his convictions and love, but more importantly love herself so that even if their relationship does end or he does something awful like cheat she doesn't base her self worth on that.

This fucking MC has more of a dense harem protag mindset then that of a useless person. As a certified useless person myself, I would absolutely believe a girl was my soulmate if she spent more than a few minutes talking to me and had that much physical touching. Shit, I would believe it so much that it would eventually push her away due to my neediness. That's how a right, proper useless MC should be.

He is better than every person who is capable of doing basic things but does not recognize their shortcomings and does not show respect for others' talents and efforts.

Orochi's interrogation shows her what Shinba is like behind his uselessness and that he really does have personality traits that are quite desirable. It also showed her that Hizumi is not treating Shinba well enough for him to even believe that they're really dating.

Props to Orochi that even though she was mostly messing with Shinba to press Hizumi's buttons she DID warn Hizumi that she can't just count on him being useless to keep him. Hizumi's going to have to act more like a girlfriend and show him real affection.

Orochi's and Hizumi's relationship seems to be one other that just Hated Rivals. If Orochi wanted to she could steal away Shinba within a week, either to keep for herself or to dump after hurting Hizumi.

I love orochi. Great personality both mind and body wise. Someone who can finally counter hizumis mean insults. Shinbas developing little by little which is nice to see tbh. Hes a little more realistic than other mcs even if it takes lot of patence to watch him grow.
Also Hizumis jealous side is coming out and shes being territorial love to see it.
