The original release feels like a better read because the author didn't have the need to make it 100% explicit that yes, she likes him every dozen pages. It was interesting precisely because it left a lot of things unsaid.

This just reads like a normal romcom now but there's black speech bubbles sometimes and the big titty gf burns our loser protag.

I don't know which is weirder, a guy who likes a woman who keeps belittling him, or a woman who likes a man who she keeps belittling on
It is your run of the mill toxic relationship (with a giant grain of wish fulfilment). Both are getting something out of it. It's easy to see what the loser is getting but for the girl, considering her hang ups, its probably having such a loser around provides a sense of security. Both have massive insecurity problems. She just hides it better. Though these last chapters started lean on too heavyly on the romantic love side which doesn't really make sense in such a short time. He has literally nothing going for him and just desparately trying to keep her around. Well, it is yet another wish fulfilment story so no need to seek logic.

it is pretty obvious how much she likes that he keeps doing his best for her even if he fails, her criticism isn't that wrong either but she likes how he tries so hard and how cute he looks while doing so, a bit weird sometimes but she also wants him to depend on her
i have a feeling her previous relationship was with a guy who was too good but was lacking in the aspect of caring about her thus now, she likes how he is
in the end so far their relationship is weird but not that bad

This chapter raised some trauma flags for Hizumi that may explain why Hizumi is the way she is (although her abyss'd and lifeless eyes may have been a big hint since ch1). The talk with that gyaru awoke some hateful memories based on the "Goodbye, Hizumi" panel and the pitch black panel with just text bubbles it seems (side note. Those panels make obvious the author is a Boy's Abyss fan. Those flashbacks looked a lot like those Nagi began to have in Tokyo. IIRC, he said on twitter he's a big fan of Ryou Minenami works)

Although this chapter leaned more towards the romance tropes in the end, the relationship seems to be moving forward quite fast. And for those who haven't read the spoilers, Uzume Miyabi, AKA Not!Kana finally makes her appearance and will defo throw a wedge. She has a quirk: her earrings emote alongside her For RAW readers, the aftermath of Uzume's rageful and tearful confession during her fight with Hizumi and Shinba's reaction will be released this week

PD: Lmao at the cut down final part of the translators afterword.

Yeah but a lot of people were too thick in the head to tell that she liked him despite his faults so the author had to make it more obvious in the manga. Many such cases.

Having multiple girls fighting over the protagonist really sort of nullifies his useless status. Worried this will just become a harem series
Eh I read a lot of yandere and harem, I will hold the suffer from this drama in the new arc

The actress girl doesn't look menhera, she looks like an actually physically violent borderline princess. She looks like she might have actually beaten our boy.
