Every year, Millions of Romcom protagonists fall victim to “casually saying some harshly stupid shit but meaning the better of it”. Please donate now: it won’t do anything but at least you can say you tried SOMETHING.
I normally hate this trope but Urumin putting her foot in her mouth is unfortunately the most in-character thing to do at any given time ;—;

Urumin being Urumin, this is probably the only time I feel like I can tolerate an entry into the miscommunication arc. Here's to hoping it doesn't drag out.

Also, Staff-san, I feel you….

To my understanding, and why they don't bother me as much, is the Japanese language relies a lot on "implications". I heard it described once that it's basically looking at a baseball field and saying "I like." and the other person picking up that you meant "I like baseball." So, the miscommunications can go absolutely wild compared to English where we (try to) say what we mean clearly and leave little room for implications

I agree that kimiya understands her perfectly and probably knows what she means but something is amiss in this, even in the last page of the last chapter, kimiya would never say something bad about gurumin (the ponytails) never, not even a though, and now it doesn't seem like a joke, we've seen that gurumin saved him but if he is not needed then what's left?
