For anyone interested, here's some fun fact about Hibiki's Jr. high school, its name, and how it ties together:
Japanese Kanji/Furigana
"鯨彫愚" has to do with "whale" (giant sea animal) and "carving" (scrimshaw/sculpting ivory). Its Furigana, how it's pronounced, "げいぼるぐ" is literally "Geiborugu."
Irish Gaelic Myth
"Gáe Bolg" is from an Irish myth and literally translates to "belly spear" (connotations of pain/death/sagging) Hibiki, anyone?~ That same "Gáe Bolg" spear is literally carved from the bone/toes of the giant undersea monster (whale). The meaning fits with the Kanji, the pronunciation fits with the phonetics! Nice!
Also, still with the myth, the spear has iterations of its story where it actually has "7 heads" or barbs for piercing and slicing, which fits with Hibiki mentioning one of the "7 miracles" her school is known for.
