This is cute, but yeah you should really just be honest in these types of situations. It’s not nice to lie to someone’s face in an attempt to spare their feelings when we’re talking about their college education path (which costs someone money and you have to invest into to) and their future career aspirations (which kinda determines their life and financial situation). She wouldn’t have to give up being a teacher, but she does NEED to know what her strengths and weaknesses are if she wants to pursue this path (self awareness is really important when it comes to career goals). It’s not too late for her to work on her weaknesses, but it will be if she doesn’t learn about them until it’s too late, and she can’t improve at all if she doesn’t what to improve on.

Some people are naturally more suited to teaching, but considering Mutsuki's personality, I'm sure she would work hard in the university to correct her flaws. It's not like she would be arrogant and unreasonable, thus unable to admit her own shortcomings. Her siblings just love and respect her too much to honestly and straightforwardly inform her about them.

Wait if this will move forward to that point won't she end up leaving the story eventually? Since she'd be at university

I'm very curious. I did elementary school in China, where the teachers are all high school drop-outs. Is Japan different where the teachers are actually well educated? Can someone who's from Japan answer this?

As far as I know, it's the same as the US where the teachers aim to have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a specific subject depending on what the school is looking for.

I know some really smart people that are terrible teachers. sometimes you gonna be upfront and tell them their shortcomings so they can improve

I think CN is special in this case, as far as I know in EU and US you need at least Bachelor's Degree for teaching. My friend was working as an engineer, but in order to teach in technical school she had to go to university, despite having above a decade of experience in the engineering job. You don't need the degree only if you are teaching as a side job, e.g. personal cram teacher.

Ahh I see, thanks for the explanations and sorry for the late reply. I recently fell down the hololive rabbit hole and didn’t have time to check Mangadex lol.
