Still, props to Aira for hugging Acro-Silky and saying what she said. That took a lot of courage and empathy. This is merely conjecture, but many works that depict ghosts, show that overtime they change due to losing grip of themselves, and the extend of that change may be influenced by their feelings. So, due to her newfound purpose, and the sudden surge of overwhelming emotion that change was greatly accelerated.

No. Silks' (the ghost lady) daughter is long dead, but it's been so long that she herself forgot what the one thing she held dear was. Then when Aira (pink hair girl) as a child mistook her for her own mother, she (ghost lady) realized that her daughter is what she had forgotten, but due to hearing Aira's father implying that her mother was dead, ghost lady thought that she was said dead mother. In summary, she mistook Aira for her own daughter.

Ooof wow wow. Knowing that this flashback was coming, I was still not ready for how impactful it was going to be. The anime was a gut punch and elevated the material to a whole new level. Amazing, amazing storytelling, cinematography, animation, music, voice work, everything!
One of the best episodes of the year!

in the last panel you can see that the author implies that both mother and daughter meet back in the afterlife, so pretty sure she is gone too
