I can't help but wonder if Ruri's behavior is considered significantly more normal in this world. It probably still isn't HEALTHY, but considering the gender dynamics I can see her kinda being the equivalent of a really toxic Chad kinda guy who controls the hell out of his girlfriend. That's too much of a repeat. IMO Sou hugging his three guards are more likely, and it's a good opportunity to make up for when they missed his hugs.

Based on what someone else said, I'm willing to bet that the boy actually isn't a boy but Ruri's sister. Maybe their family doesn't have money so she pretended to be a boy in order to get into this private school or get some kind of government benefit.

Idk how poor the average all female family is but I'd think that women would be able to "instinctly" tell a " crossdresser" as opposed to a female openly dressing up as male /for fun as like a host club thing or dating another girl and trying to appear "manly" versus a boy that'd put on a skirt and trying to pass A girl to not be harassed
