The slowness in new chapters in 1:39 make more sense when we think of how this author is drawing a parallel hentai version of the comic.
It have the same style so is mostly 2 or 3 different drawings for chapter, but is a decent reason.

As Geako mentioned... but the reason why men are rare in the 1:39 would be very important.

If it's a physiological or medical reason and 1:39 men simply don't produce enough "male" sperm to ensure a more balanced gender ratio, then adding men from our world might fix that imbalance. Anyhow, if the problem is on the female side, like if a woman's body has issues conceiving male offspring, then it probably wouldn't work. Adding more men could obviously lessen the burden for some time but it cannot solve the underlaying cause.

My educated guess on this matter is that it's probably the latter. This world developed artificial insemnation, so one can only wonder why no one has thought of using that technology to increase male birth rates. You bet they did, they are desperate enough. So why hasn't anything like that happened? Their medical science is advanced enough, no way they cannot do it or haven't thought about it. I assume it's one of two possible reasons: They already tried and it proved unsuccessful or they actually don't want to - for whatever reason there may be.

I do remember that. My impression at that point was, since Sou was discharged from the hospital after a blow to the head, he was in a coma for a while and his body was weakened from that.

I guess it could also be interpreted as a soul switch between bodies.

In which case, sex drive is either more tied to the mind or to physical fitness.
