Honestly, Siera is the best… heroine?… in this manga so far. I really liked that, in the bar scene with her friends, she didn’t lie and say Masato was her actual boyfriend. When that conversation started, I already frowned, thinking the manga was gonna go that way, with Siera lying and getting tangled up in the whole “Masato is my boyfriend” thing. But the fact that she was upfront and told the truth was actually pretty interesting.


What’s also interesting is that stuff like this really does happen in real life, but usually with men who fall in love with prostitutes and end up marrying them. Imagine the tension when these guys introduce their fiancée, an ex-prostitute, to their friends and family.

Speaking of that, it reminded me of the movie Pretty Woman. It’s an old movie already, but it’s a good one. There’s that scene where the guy’s friend tries to force himself on the FMC just because she used to be a prostitute. I can totally imagine this kind of tension happening in real life.

Also I get that it's not been all that long in-story, but I'm just waiting for the hammer to drop and Masato to get the rude awakening that's in store for him because of the way he behaves, seemingly oblivious to the new reality he has landed in and the "flipped nuance" of the interpersonal dynamics therein.

It's still wild to me that this is labeled a comedy and not a drama. Can't actually think of any aspect of this that fits the tag it does have, at least from what I remember.

Eh, not really, would you change your entire personality in a week just because you wound up in a world where everything is the same except dating dynamics? I can imagine I might change my attitude to dating but I wouldn't stop being a friendly person in general because of it. People that would aren't really as nice as they think they are.

it's not legal. It's been previously mentioned in-story, but there's currently a governmental petition to legalize it within the nation of Japan, but it's all background lore that's only brought up when it's convenient for whatever's happening in the chapter.

It honestly sometimes feels like the author sorta forgets about the disparity unless it's specifically relevant for the chapter, or we just have a major case of sample bias for the sake of portraying the plight of the heroine currently in focus.

And the thing is why wouldn't it be legal already? You would expect it would have become legal when the ration hit 1:3 let alone all the way to 1:5, it's also been shown that many men take multiple partners so the obsession with being the only one he dates seems at absolute best selfish, and at worst damn right delusional.
