Mizuzo continues to be best girl in every chapter she's in, even in the novel. Mizuho is also the only girl who never shows some kind of potential danger

I think the idea is that the 1:5 world isn't actually all that different from normal. It just removes the guys who women usually ignore making the actually good ones stand out.

It hasn't been talked about yet, but an important point is that it hasn't always been this way. Society is still trying to maintain the normality that came with a 1:1 ratio, so people aren't all in on polygamy yet.

The girls facing the reality of what a 5:1 ratio means for them personally is just as much of a plot point as what it means for Masato.

I'm pretty sure others must've pointed it out to you by now,but the main differences is that nearly every dude was just like that dude who rejected her,and all the women feeling the pressure.

Instead of men needing to be kinder to really snag the women,with how few the men are,they've believed themselves as being more valuable.

So they can act how they want,and be with whomever they want,because it's now women who don't have a choice at getting laid or getting lonely.

In our 101.07:100 world,a lass is way more likely to get her ass with any guy at all.

In their 1:5 world,a lass now has at least four others,and yet still restricted by the only one spouse nonsense.

It has yet to reach the moral flipping,male public commodity,harems are a must level that is 1:39,which is made even crazier when one remembers that the current chapter,222,is not even the end of the third/fourth day since our main protagonist has woken up in the new world.

I think the 1:5 world places more emphasis on the hopelessness the girls feel about themselves. In 1:39 world, the chances are so rare. In the 1:5 world, it's not so rare, so there are more parallels with a 1:1. I noticed the author focuses more on how the girls view themselves, how far they will go in terms of disrespecting themselves, self-agency etc... these themes are present in the 1:5 society. By introducing healthy 1:1 dynamics via MC, I think the author is writing a story that shakes up the damage the women feel in the 1:5 world.

As with all harem-esque stories, we gotta trudge through all the intros... which usually last 12-15 chapters. If the author doesn't make more use of the 1:5 setting afterwards, what you've stated will be the "elephant in the room" with this manga. Having said that, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Modern Isekai is infamous for hyper assimilating contrasting backgrounds or completely throwing out the old background's significance within a few chapters.

I want to add that it is especially interesting that their Yandere side kicks in now when they finally found a man who is a bunny rabbit and makes them feel seen.
