He's clearly conscious of her, he's clearly attracted to her, he's engaged and about to get married to her...it just don't make no sense.

Argueably, all of these other MCs are more worthy of disdain than this series. Know your landscape before criticizing.

Going back through this series belatedly.

None of those MCs were particularly blameworthy. One of these FLs actively deceived the ML about her feelings out of embarrassment from the start, another hated on the guy (and repeatedly subjected him to DV) openly long after her feelings had changed, two of the others overcame the circumstances of their fake relationships and came to understand their partners' feelings rather quickly. Nee Mou Isso's lead is arguably the only one in this list in the neighborhood of this title's lead, and that's thanks to having to adjust to both the constraints of a very temporary fake relationship and (FINALLY) seeing the closest person to him his entire life in an unfamiliar and very awkward way.

People talking bad about mc but what can he do? He thinks that she is the same as him which is there isnt any person "who isnt after my wealth so i need to choose you". He thinks they r best friends in marriage out of necessity. And she acts like it, im not a needy girl etc. And always says ah its a joke after talking about something it seems like teasing. If she were honest about her desires he wouldnt have been dickless dense mc for sure. Its her fault for not making it clear but if she did make it clear the story would have been a really short one so imo its fine as it is.

Taking advantage of a relationship to get closer to someone, without being totally upfront, most of the time is perfectly fine but this is an exception.

I'm more annoyed at the FMC for not being upfront and honest about her intentions and desires. If she keeps doing what she is doing, she is going to hurt both of them. It more annoying because it's shown on Pg 21 and 22 that she can be more upfront and honest.

If SHE was just a bit more honest and actually asked if it was okay if they at least TRIED to be serious, then this wouldn't be much of an issue...

That's all she has to do. Just communicate and ask if they try to be dating or sh*t like that.....

And this is more of the author being a BS a**hole who is too much of a f***ing coward to push forward the relationship and just have them be a couple from the start...

The ONLY saving grace is that, at least for now, the blame can't be put on the MC....
