Now lets hope there’s still enough in the tank so it’s still interesting.they accomplished what 99% of other romcoms failed to do in 10 chapters
Bingo. So many rom-com manga use the "I can't become lovers with my best-friend-of-the-opposite sex" as an excuse, when ideally, your partner should also be a friend you want to stay with and do things with. The spirit of Reiwa needs to slap people into realizing that the two states are not mutually exclusive.Damn, that shit is cute.
Also, it is WAY preferable to have a partner who is also your friend, means your bond is already formed and it'll only get deeper.
Not a traditional baddie, but definitely an antagonist, in the sense of "operating against the protagonists". She intentionally meddled with her granddaughter's personal space and basically lied by omission, guessing that her tomboy daughter, used to more-direct styles of communication, would jump to the wrong conclusion. From grandma's view, it was a secret test of character...for anyone else, it would be akin to gaslighting. I still have trauma about my parents "cleaning" (rearranging) my house without my permission when I was sick...this chapter twisted my stomach a bit at seeing Yui-chan's apartment being "raided".Is it just me or is grandma a baddie?
I don't think that's what they meant when asking if she was a baddieNot a traditional baddie, but definitely an antagonist, in the sense of "operating against the protagonists".
just tonikawa (tonikaku kawaii)Romance manga marriage speedrun any% wr
If the intended meaning was the slang term for "attractive and sassy", then yes, she do be a Hot Grandma. She honestly looks like she's in her 40's or 50's.I don't think that's what they meant when asking if she was a baddie
Well, if the childhood friend is the main heroine, they win. If not they lose. Here, she's the main heroine so she obviously wins.I almost thought this got axed as that was a good way to end it... Good thing it didn't... They broke the curse of childhood friends not winning!!!!
Grandmother:I appreciate that it was a fake out of the usual tired trope of the powerful high-class family not approving of the couple's relationship and trying to split them up. Grandma just did a bit of trolling by not answering and just had her grand-kid make assumptions lol.
Lol I appreciate the explanation but I meant baddie as in she's hotBingo. But yes, more importantly, this chapter marks a new victory for the glorious Reiwa Moe Triumvirate of Wholesome Gyaru, Sporty Tomboys, and Victorious Childhood Friends!
