This manga is way more than just "guy turns gyaru and suffers in an all-girls school". There's a genuinely melancholic layer under the fanservice.

Core points of my theory:

1. Gyarukami is literally a dying goddess. She was drowning in the river - a direct metaphor. Gyaru culture peaked in late 90s–mid 2000s, then collapsed: the style became outdated, society moved on, gyaru nearly vanished from mainstream. The goddess was fading, losing believers, literally drowning in cultural oblivion.

2. Junpei - accidental savior turned unwilling apostle. A random introverted otaku boy saves her -> she turns him into a gyaru. This isn't punishment - it's her greatest gift: brightness, confidence, attention, joy of life. She truly believes she saved him from a dull male existence and gave him paradise. So, when he begs "turn me back", she looks confused, hurt and even angry. It's like someone enters heaven and complains the light is too bright and angels are too noisy.

3. The "collect gyaru power" quest is a revival mission, not a way to revert him. She says "Collect gyaru power and I might be able to turn you back into a guy". That "might be" is a huge clue. She's actually farming power through him. The more gyaru around him, the more perfect gyaru he becomes - the stronger she gets. Full return = end of her revival plan. That's why she easily spends power on some shit: clothes, makeup, illusions, etc.; but always hits "over capacity" on undoing the TS.

4. She literally cannot (and does not want to) fully revert him because it would be blasphemy against her own nature. She's the goddess of gyaru: extroversion, flamboyance, sexiness. Turning a gyaru back into a quiet introverted boy is heresy. She physically/spiritually can't go against her essence. Hence the half-measures and illusions.

Junpei's crazy gyaru life isn't a curse - it's a desperate act of self-preservation by a fading deity. She's using him as her last anchor to avoid disappearing completely. Meanwhile he sees paradise as hell and begs to be released. Under the ecchi groping, bath accidents, etc. there's a story about a subculture that's dying, and the last person who can save it - even if he hates every second.
